How to Clean Camping Pots & Pans

Keeping your camping pots and pans clean is essential to ensure the life of the cookware and protect your health. Cooking with dirty cookware could cause you to become sick. Bacteria breeds in decomposing food, and ingesting these bacteria could lead to painful gastrointestinal problems. That is why it is important to clean your camping pots and pans after each use.

      Turn on your stove or start a campfire. Preheat the grill.

      Pour water into the pot. Place the pot on top of the stove or grill.

      Allow the water to heat up. The water does not need to be boiling.

      Place a few drops of biodegradable soap into the water.

      Scrub the inside of the pots and pans with a pot scrubber. Continue scrubbing until all dirt and grim is removed.

      Rinse the pots and pans with clean water.

      Allow the pots and pans to air dry or use a clean towel.
