The Twin Lakes RV Camping Resort includes waterfront RV camping, as well as cabin and cottage rental, located between the Pamlico River and Chocowinity Bay. The resort has marina access to the Pamlico River for campers who bring their own boats. Cottages offer three bedrooms and a pull-out couch to accommodate up to eight visitors per cottage, and include fully equipped kitchens and a private bathroom. Cabins have two rooms to accommodate up to six visitors each, with a shared bathhouse. Visitors must bring their own linens for both cottages and cabins. No pets or smoking are allowed in the cottages or cabins at Twin Lakes.

Tranter's Creek Campground and Resort includes RV hook-ups as well as tent sites and cabins on Tranter's Creek. Cabins include private screened porches, private bathrooms, climate control and kitchenette with refrigerator and microwave. Visitors must bring their own linens and cookware, although linens are available for rent from the office. Tranter's Creek Campground also includes recreational facilities for all visitors, including a pool, playground, game room and pavilion, as well as kayak, canoe, paddle boat and bicycle rentals.

Roanoke Christian Camp is primarily a summer camp, which also makes its camping facilities available to visitors for rental for group events. The Roanoke Christian Camp has cabins as well as outdoor pavilions for activities. The Roanoke Christian Camp is a youth initiative of the North Carolina Church of Christ and Christian Church, although facilities are open for use by people of all ages and religions.
