Places to Camp Near Disney World

There is plenty to do in and around Walt Disney World and in the Kissimmee/Orlando, Florida, area. Camping is abundant and RV parks compete for their guests' attention by offering more amenities.

  1. Orange Grove Campground

    • RV (up to 50 amps) and tent camping with electric and water are available. It also has swimming pools, concrete pads, paved roads, recreation area and clubhouse.

    Disney's Fort Wilderness Campgrounds and Cabins

    • Cabin, RV or tent camping--with or without electricity, and water hookups--are available. Nightly entertainment and dinner options are on the premises, and discounts apply for guests who stay in Disney properties, and purchase tickets and/or dining at the Disney parks.

    Orlando Southwest--Fort Summit KOA

    • RV, cabin or tent camping with electric and water hookups are available. There is a free shuttle to Disney, Universal, SeaWorld and Wet 'n Wild. This 30-acre-plus resort has many amenities, recreation and dining options.

    Kissimmee/Orlando KOA

    • RV, cabin or tent camping with electric and water hookups are available. A pavilion/meeting room is available, and the site has Wi-Fi Internet service. There are also swimming pool, hot tub, firewood and bicycle rentals available.

    Tropical Palms---Encore/ELS Campground

    • Tropical Palms is an Encore/ELS camping resort with vacation cottages and RV sites. Among the many amenities are swimming, basketball, organized activities, shuffleboard, barbecue and picnic areas, and bingo parties.

    Ponderosa RV Park

    • Ponderosa offers full hookups with 20-, 30- or 50-amp service, and pull-through sites. Long-term camping areas, Wi-Fi, laundry facilities and a pool also are available.
