Hostels in Bastille, Paris

Previously a working class neighborhood, the Bastille area of Paris is now a trendy, up-and-coming-location for fashion designers, chefs focusing on French cooking with an international twist, and hip night clubs and bars. If you are young and on a tight budget, a hostel near the Bastille is a great choice of location. You are a short walk to Paris' tourist attractions, such as the Place des Vosges in the Marais, and the Notre Dame Cathedral, but are located outside the major tourist zones near local night time hangouts, such as the bars on the Rue Oberkampf.
