Hotels Near Shattuckville, Massachusetts

Shattuckville is little more than a small collection of farm buildings on Route 112 close to the Massachusetts border with Vermont. The community, which is on the eastern side of the Berkshires, is far too small to warrant even a single hotel. Visitors to the area should seek accommodations in nearby Shelburne Falls, which is just two miles away, or in Greenfield, about 10 miles down the road.

    • The Oxbow Resort Motel is a family-owned and run motel on the historic Mohawk Trail in northwest Massachusetts. The motel sits alongside the Deerfield River just three miles from Shelburne Falls and about five miles from Shattuckville.

      The motel has 25 rooms, each with one or two queen beds and a private bathroom. The motel is ideal for a weekend getaway. It is close to the Berkshire East Ski slopes and white water rafting, and has its own 6-hole par-3 golf course, two tennis courts and an outdoor swimming pool. The Mohawk Diner is the nearest eatery, just over a mile away on the road to Greenfield.

    Hampton Inn & Suites, Greenfield

    • There's a Hampton Inn & Suites in Greenfield, about 10 miles by road from Shattuckville. The inn has 68 guest rooms and there's a fitness center and indoor pool. Some of the rooms have whirlpool tubs and microwaves, but check with reception when booking.

      All rooms have free wireless Internet and cable television, and you get a complimentary hot breakfast. There are a number of restaurants in Greenville where you can enjoy lunch or dinner, including Friendly's, New Fortune Chinese, Applebee's, Subway and 99 Restaurant.

    • The Quality Inn is another inviting place to stay in Greenfield, located at the eastern end of the historic Mohawk Trail. The Inn has 100 guest bedrooms, all with private bathrooms and free wireless Internet.

Local attractions include the Berkshire East Ski Mountain and white water rafting on the Deerfield River. Closer to the inn are restaurants, shopping malls, theaters and an ice skating rink.

    • Days Inn in Greenfield is another good hotel to try, and is convenient for the many area attractions. The inn is located close to the intersection of Interstate 95 and Route 2, which follows the historic Mohawk Trail, and is fringed by many local attractions and was one of the country's first scenic routes.

      As well as the usual guest room amenities Days Inn offers a complimentary continental breakfast and there is a fitness center. You will find wireless Internet access in all rooms, and up to two pets are allowed for a small charge.
