The prairie village of Hemingford is located in Box Butte County, in the northwest corner of Nebraska. With a population of less than 1,000 residents, Hemingford's economy is based primarily on farming, ranching and cattle feeding. The village is also home to the Box Butte County Fair, which occurs annually the second weekend of August.
