The town of Sherman is located in the Housatonic Valley at the north tip of Candlewood Lake. The Appalachian Trail passes through Sherman, the smallest town in Fairfield County, Connecticut. As of October 2010, Sherman's population was listed at just over 4,100. There are no hotels in Sherman and the nearest accommodation is in the nearby town of New Milford.

    • This 14-room Homestead Inn is located at the top of the New Milford green--the longest green in New England--in the heart of Litchfield Hills, an area of rich natural beauty and a spot with easy access to the great outdoors.     The Heritage Inn

    • A hotel that retains much of its late 19th-century charm, the Heritage Inn dates back to 1870 and was first converted into a bed and breakfast in 1988. After a period of closure, the building, a restored 100-year old tobacco warehouse, reopened housing 20 guest rooms with amenities including wall mounted flat screen televisions, executive work space, complimentary wireless internet access, irons and ironing boards, and hairdryers.
