Warren Dunes is a 1,950 acre state park alongside the shoreline of Lake Michigan. Activities in the park include camping, swimming and metal detecting. Warren Dunes State Park has camping grounds; however, there are accommodations in the nearby Harbor County if you prefer more comfortable lodgings.
The Rabbit Run Inn is located in Sawyer within 15 minutes of the Warren Dunes State Park. It is situated near the dunes and beaches of the eastern shore of Lake Michigan. This eco-friendly, four-roomed inn opened its doors in May of 2008. Guests that stay in the inn for two nights or more are provided with a complimentary package of select Michigan cheese, locally made wine and fruits.
All rooms in the Rabbit Run Inn have private porches that overlook the koi pond and the yard. They have hypoallergenic beddings, as well as a wet bar. The rooms also have docking stations for iPods. Beach umbrellas and bicycles are also available for guests.
The owners of the Rabbit Run Inn practice green living. The inn’s appliances are all Energy Star® compliant and their cleaning products and linens are environmentally friendly. The Rabbit Inn is double insulated for reducing sound and consumption of energy. Floors, wet bars and counters are constructed from recyclable materials. As of September 2010, the rooms within this inn start at $170 per night.

The Super 8 Hotel is a hotel within 20 minutes of Warren Dunes State Park, Lake Michigan and beaches in the area. It is two miles away from Captain Mike’s amusement park, four miles away from Tabor Hill Winery and Restaurant and just six miles away from the nuclear plant of DC Cook. The Super 8 Hotel is also six miles away from the St. Julian Winery, which is among Michigan’s biggest and oldest wineries.
The hotel has several suites available and all guests have access to the indoor heated pool. As of September 2010, a standard room in the Super 8 hotel starts at $86 for a night’s stay.

The Harbert House Bed and Breakfast is a remodeled country house situated on one and a half acres of grassland. It is about 30 minutes away from Warren Dunes State Park and Lake Michigan. This bed and breakfast is close to art galleries, cafes, restaurants, boutiques, antique stores and many U-Pick farms where people get to pick fruits on their own.
It has five rooms, each with its own theme: the Sun Room, Old West, Southwest, Pear and Gallery. Each room has hardwood floors instead of the usual carpet, and the hotel company claims to have the softest towels in the world. An overnight stay at the Harber House Bed and Breakfast starts at $140, as of September 2010.
