The Bellagio Hotel, Casino and Spa in Las Vegas, Nevada, is an award-winning hotel that has received five stars from the Automobile Association of America (AAA). The hotel has nearly 4,000 guest rooms, suites and villas, an on-site spa and salon, several restaurants, a wedding chapel and a casino. While the hotel frequently offers promotions for discounts off standard room rates, there are a few ways to obtain a room upgrade while staying at the Bellagio Hotel.
Sign up to become a hotel member and receive e-mails offering exclusive rates and occasional upgrades. Sign up on the website (see Resources) or text "Bellagio" to 37160. Note that standard texting rates will apply.
Reserve the room online through the Bellagio "Direct Advantage" website, which offers special consideration for room requests (see Resources).
Ask if the hotel is offering any "complimentary upgrades" when checking in. The odds of receiving an upgrade are better if you are staying for several nights or during a slow period.
Consider offering a tip to the desk clerk for checking on available upgrades. Tips between $20 and $50 are considered appropriate.
Inform the desk clerk that you are in town for a celebration, such as a wedding, anniversary, birthday or bachelor/ette party. Some desk clerks will offer a complimentary upgrade for guests staying at the hotel for a special event.
Offer to pay for the upgrade. While upgrade costs can reach $100 per night, this is typically lower than the nightly rate for the upgraded room or suite.
