Lodging in Stone Ridge, New York

The small hamlet of Stone Ridge is famous for its Main Street historic district, which comprises houses from the 18th and early 19th century -- notably the Wynkoop House, which George Washington himself visited. This is why, even though it is a small community of just over 700 residents, it attracts a high number of visitors. There are various lodging options in the hamlet, offering visitors the distinct feel of rural New York.
  1. The Inn at Stone Ridge

    • Located right at the heart of the community, the Inn at Stone Ridge offers three one-bedroom and another three two-bedroom suites, equipped with free high-speed Internet. The Inn also operates its own restaurant and tavern on the first floor, open Thursday to Sunday. A number of special wedding packages are provided to prospective couples. Main Street's classic architecture buildings are on the same road with the Inn, while you can find a variety of restaurants within a 10-minute walk, including Benny's Pizzeria, Nibble Nook and Momji Japanese.

    High Falls Motel

    • Located in the nearby town of High Falls, this pet-friendly motel offers four king and four queen rooms, with the basic in-room amenities, as well as a seasonal pool, away from the road for privacy. There is an abundance of dining options near the property, with Chefs on Fire, Eggs Nest Salon and High Falls cafe, all a 15-minute walk west. Stone Ridge's Main Street is approximately five minutes away by car via New York 213.

    Baker's Bed and Breakfast

    • This family run accommodation is actually a 1780s stone farm house turned lodge. Without many modern amenities such as Internet and cable TV, Baker's bets on the special breakfast recipes of Doug and Linda Baker, including smoked meats and salmon, as well as their own coffee, a mix of French Roast and Mocha Java. The bed-and-breakfast is in the far west of the town, and the sole restaurant within walking distance is Picnic Pizza, while Stone Ridge's historic center is a mile north on Main Street.

    Victorian Knoll Bed and Breakfast

    • Within the Stone Ridge, but about two miles northwest of Main Street, you will find the Victorian Knoll. This bed-and-breakfast accommodation offers three bedrooms -- one, the Tower Suite, with a Jacuzzi. There are no dining options nearby, so you will have to go to Main Street for lunch or dinner. Catskill Park, where you can enjoy hiking and rock climbing, is located 10 miles east of the property.
