Route 1 is the major north-south highway, which runs through the entire state of Massachusetts and from Rhode Island up to New Hampshire. The highway travels through many of the state's major towns and cities, including Boston, Danvers, Chelsea, Plainville and Attleboro.
A variety of lodging options can be found along Route 1, including bed and breakfasts, motels, hotels, inns and resorts. Many of the hotels are located just minutes off of the highway, including the Wyndham Chelsea, which is also conveniently located near Logan International Airport.
Route 1 takes travelers close to many historical sites and amazing views, including the Merrimack and Mystic Rivers. Shopping venues along the highway include clothing, furniture, shoes, accessories and malls.
