How to Get Out of an RCI Contract

Resorts Condominium International, or RCI, is the world's largest timeshare exchange company, having originated the concept in 1974, according to the company website. RCI's 3 million members can swap timeshare vacations among 3,700 resorts worldwide for the 52 weeks each year. Thus, having an RCI membership gives a timeshare owner almost unlimited options, provided that owner has flexible travel dates. RCI memberships are attached to ownership of a timeshare week, and memberships terms run one to three years. For various reasons, some members have a need to opt out of their RCI contracts before the memberships expire.
