Lodging Near the Seward Air Force Camp in Alaska

    • Open annually from Memorial Day to Labor Day, the campgrounds at Seward Resort may be booked up to one year in advance. The property offers 40 RV sites equipped with water, electricity and cable TV hookups. There are also three tent sites for those who prefer to "rough it." Alternatively, those who prefer not to bring their own tents may rent one of six available yurts. Measuring 10 feet in diameter, each year it is outfitted with three cots, three chairs and a table. Yurts are not, however, equipped with water or electricity.

      The grounds are equipped with two coin-operated laundry facilities, showering facilities and a playground for children. Guests are also free to use the grills and picnic tables that are located throughout the property. n addition, a lounge is available to campers, where they may watch television, enjoys average and relax by a fireplace.

    Traditional Rooms

    • Visitors to the Seward Resort Air Force camp who prefer to lodge in traditional accommodations have their choice of room style. Double occupancy motel rooms that are furnished with microwave ovens and small refrigerators are available for a nightly rate. Travelers seeking larger accommodations may opt to rent one of 12 townhouses that populate the property. Each sleeps up to six individuals, is equipped with a kitchenette and is multilevel. Lastly, the resort offers a log cabin that sleeps two. Equipped with a queen-sized bed, kitchenette, porch swing and gas grill, this property is available year-round.

    Activities

    • In addition to the many accommodations, those who visit the Seward Resort Air Force camp have a variety of activities with which they may occupy their time. Visitors who possess valid fishing licenses may rent one of four deep-sea halibut fishing boats. Kayaking, horseback riding and dog sledding are all activities near the resort. In addition, the establishment hosts themed weekends, such as a murder mystery weekend, throughout the year.
