The Corbin/Laurel Lake KOA is less than a mile to the east of Laurel River Lake. It is also near many local rafting, fishing and boating opportunities. Numerous restaurants, shops and flea markets are in the Corbin area. Guests have the option of staying in one or two bedroom cabins that are equipped with picnic tables, barbecue grills and foam mattresses. Campers can also opt for full hook-up RV sites or tent sites. Amenities include bathrooms, showers, a walking park for dogs, a swimming pool that is open during the warmer months, a cement basketball court and horseshoe pits. Children can take advantage of its free hay rides. Firewood can be purchased on the grounds.

The Lost Lodge resort has one to three bedroom cabins for rent. The resort is located on Lake Cumberland, which is approximately 25 miles west of Laurel River Lake. Lake Cumberland is the ninth largest reservoir in the country with around 1,250 miles of shoreline. The cabins are on a property with barbecue grills in a picnic area and hiking trails. Guests also have access to the Burnside Marina on Cumberland Lake. The cabins come with fully equipped kitchens, their own bath rooms, decks and living rooms. The Lost Lodge resort is also within 10 minutes to the many recreational activities in the Big South Fork Recreation Area. Various packages are available, including student discounts and a two-night stay for fishermen.

The Lake Cumberland Resort, which is approximately 25 miles west of the western end of Laurel River Lake, has two to four bedroom cabins along with cottages. Surrounded on three sides by Cumberland Lake and overlooking the Daniel Boone National Preserve, the resort provides year-round fishing, as well as boating and water skiing activities. Five golf courses are located within half an hour of the resort. All of the cabins are fully furnished and come with cable TV. Some of them also have hot tubs. A two-night stay is required during most of the year, although daily rentals are available during some seasons. The resort has a boat ramp, an area for boat storage and sells fuel. Dock slips can also be found 19 miles away at the Burnside Marina. Three swimming pools are located on the grounds. No pets are allowed.
