RV Campgrounds and State Parks in Oregon

Oregon has an extensive and quality state park system at more than 50 different sites around the state. These range from parks along the Pacific Ocean to mountainous areas in the eastern part of the state. Many of these parks have campgrounds for RVs. Although they don't have the amenities that some private campgrounds offer, these campgrounds are located in pristine and scenic areas.
  1. Deschutes River State Recreation Area

    • The Deschutes River State Recreation Area is located along Oregon's northern state line and where the Deschutes River flows into the Columbia River. The recreation area provides numerous hiking, mountain biking, rafting, fishing and camping opportunities. The campground has 34 sites with electric and water connections that can accommodate RVs up to 50 feet. There are also 25 primitive sites that can handle RVs that are shorter in length. A group area for RV and tent camping is also available. One extra vehicle is allowed at each campsite. Restrooms and showers are located at the campground, which also has picnic areas. The campground is open all year.

    Wallowa Lake State Park

    • The Wallowa Lake State Park is located in the northeast corner of the state and features a campground surrounded on three sides by tall mountains and Wallowa Lake. The park has 121 RV sites that have water, sewer and electric connections. Most of its sites RV are closed for the winter, although four do stay open without water. The park, which has group sites, also has camping for tents and yurts. The lake is a popular destination for fishing and boating, while the park has numerous hiking and wilderness trails, horseback riding, bumper boats and miniature golf. Campers can also take a tram to the top of one of the mountains.

    Beverly Beach State Park

    • The Beverly Beach State Park along the Pacific Ocean in the northern part of the state has 53 RV sites with water, sewer and electric, and 75 with electric only. The park also has 128 tent sites and 21 yurts. Some of the sites have cable TV on a property with restrooms, showers, a dump station, playgrounds for children, meeting halls and picnic areas. The campground offers access to the beach and has hiking trails. Campers can also attend nature programs at the visitors center, which has a store. The campground, open year round, is popular with fishermen, surfers and people who enjoy exploring the beach. The park accepts reservations.
