The Carter House was the Union army command post during the Battle of Franklin, which is known as one of the worst disasters for the Confederate Army during the Civil War. You can take a tour of the house, which was built back in 1830. A visit to the Carnton Plantation will provide you with an opportunity to see Civil War battle reenactments or become familiar with the plantation's oldest residents on the ghost tour. If you stop by the Jaymar Family Entertainment Center, you can bowl, shoot pool or play in the arcade.
