  1. Brighton Farmers Market

    • The Brighton Farmers Market is located in Rochester, New York, and is held in the open parking lot of Brighton High School every Sunday from May 30 to October 31. Established in 2008, the market hosts farmers who produce in a 40-50 mile radius of Brighton. The goal of the farmers market was to bring healthy, environmentally friendly and sustainable products to consumers. In addition to farm-fresh produce, visitors can expect to find eggs, flowers, baked goods, honey, maple syrup and pasta.

    High Falls Heritage Center

    • High Falls Heritage Center in Rochester offers free self-guided tours that include three overlooks of a 96-foot waterfall. The museum in the center offers information and exhibits that give a history of the area, geography and culture. The attached lobby and gift shop have drinks and other souvenirs for sale. The self-guided tour takes you through the old Triphammer Forge, the Pont de Rennes bridge over the Genesee River.

    Charlotte Genesee Lighthouse

    • The Charlotte Genesee Lighthouse offers free admission to the public during normal business hours and group tours by appointment only. This lighthouse is located west of the Genesee River in Rochester and was built in 1822. The tower and lantern room stand a total of 52 feet high. From the top you can see a panoramic view of the surrounding Ontario Beach Park, Lake Ontario, Port of Rochester and the surrounding marinas. The lighthouse is open from May 1st through November 29th.
