Things to Do in Civitavecchia, Italy

Civitavecchia, also known as the "ancient town," is on the Tyrrhenian Sea in Italy. It is the main cruise port for Rome, approximately 45 miles to the east. Civitavecchia sustained extensive damage during World War II, but has since been rebuilt. City activities revolve around downtown and the beaches along the port area, all within walking and cycling distance. Civitavecchia has one tourist office (Associazione Turistica Pro Loco Civitavecchia, 011-39-0766-20299; prolococivitavecchia.it) for information about the city's attractions.

Choose between the self-guided or guided (approximately two hours) tours, each for a nominal charge.
