    • Learn to fly using the trapeze at Trapeze School New York (TSNY). It has two locations: one is in midtown Manhattan, its year-round, indoor facility; the other is an outdoor location in Hudson River Park. This location is only open from May through October. Class sessions can range from 75 minutes to two hours depending on the class chosen. Classes include Flying Trapeze, Silks & Rope and Trampoline, just to name a few.

    Tom's Restaurant

    • Tom's Restaurant was featured in the TV show "Seinfeld" as the main characters' favorite diner. It was referred to as "Monk's Cafe" during the show. Although the interior scenes were filmed in California, the show features Tom's original facade. If you are a Seinfeld fan this a must see. Stop by, envision yourself in your favorite episode and enjoy! Prices are reasonable and you don't have to worry about stepping into a tourist trap. Many of Tom's loyal customers are Columbia University students.

    The Roosevelt Island Tramway

    • The Roosevelt Island Tramway travels along 50th Street and provides a bird's-eye view of the real New York City. It travels 3,100 feet and reaches a height of 250 feet above the East River at its peak. Each cabin can accommodate up to 125 people. In four minutes it takes you from midtown Manhattan to residential Roosevelt Island. Once you get to Roosevelt Island, hop on the red minibus that meets you at the tram and ride through the island for 25 cents, as of September 2010.
