You will find restaurants galore along Mulberry Street and Mott Street in Little Italy. A few paces down each street will take you to famous, fancy and casual dining spots. Cafes, bakeries and pizza parlors will also tempt the taste buds.
You will find several shops in Little Italy. Il Coccio offers Italian ceramics. The Little Italy Gift Shop has plenty of unique gifts, and Sandy's stocks hat, sunglasses, clothes, and shoes.
Perhaps the biggest attraction in Little Italy is the annual San Gennaro Festival. Traditionally held the last two weeks of September, the event consists of two parades, a grand procession, a plethora of food, loads of fun, and a great deal of fanfare.
There are several galleries and museums in Little Italy to peruse and explore. Art work, sculptures and woodwork are displayed.
The National Shrine of San Gennaro pays homage to San Gennaro, the patron saint of Naples. Located in Little Italy, the church replicates the grotto at Lourdes, and it is a beautiful structure.
