Knapp's Dairy Bar, formerly known as Red Knapp's, has been an institution in Rochester since the 1930s. As soon as you walk in the door you'll be met by a 1950s diner-style atmosphere with white counter tops, checkered floors, a juke box with 50s-era music playing and red metal bar stools. The menu features diner style favorites, but Knapp's is well known for its burgers, fries, onion rings and homemade shakes. This is the best place right on Main Street in downtown Rochester to catch a quick, greasy burger and milkshake.
