Rules for Rides at Disney World

The rules for rides at Walt Disney World are there for a reason. Follow all instructions that you're given, and never try to wiggle out of the ride restraints. Most importantly, enjoy the ride!
  1. Height

    • Many rides have height regulations which must be followed for safety reasons. The full list is available on the official Walt Disney World website (see Resources), and restrictions are also listed on the park maps.

    Health

    • Health policies are listed at ride entrances. Many rides ask that people with health problems, including neck or back problems, high blood pressure or heart conditions, not ride.

    Service Animals

    • Service animals are permitted in the park and in line, but may not be permitted on some rides. Ask a cast member for assistance.

    Pregnancy

    • Many rides, especially fast or twirling rides, ask that expectant mothers not ride.

    Rider Swap

    • The "Rider Swap" system allows one person to ride while another waits with a non-rider, and then the second person is allowed to ride without waiting in line. Cast members at the attraction will be able to assist you.

    Smoking

    • Smoking is not permitted in line, and is allowed only in designated smoking areas.
