Developed by UCLA students, the first Sea World park opened its doors in San Diego in 1964. Sea World Orlando followed in 1973.
Sea World Orlando is located a mile from the intersection of Interstate 4 and Florida State Road 528, and is about 15 minutes from Orlando International Airport.
According to the Orlando Florida Guide, as of May 2010, admission for adults and children 10 and over is $59.75. Admission for children 3 to 9 years of age is $48, and children 2 years old and under enter for free. Membership, senior citizen, Florida and Georgia resident and military discounts are available.
Sea World Orlando features a number of marine animal exhibits, including manatees, dolphins, sharks, penguins and tropical sea creatures. It also features restaurants, rides, educational tours, a children's play area and daily wildlife shows.
Sea World Orlando is open year-round, with extended hours for holidays. The park opens at 9 a.m. every day. Closing times vary by season.
