Las Vegas hosts a massive free fireworks display on the strip with seven hotels blasting fireworks at the stroke of midnight. This is the one night that children can stay up to witness the dazzling display. In 2010, Fremont Street on the strip, hosted tribute bands to play Dec. 31 through Jan. 2. Many of the shows were free to the public.
