Those wanting to stay on shore can play a game of horseshoe at one of the pits, compete in a friendly volleyball match or play tennis. Hagemeister Park

    • Hagemeister Park is a 9-acre park located off of Johnny Cake Ridge Road. This park features activities for all ages. The elaborate playground equipment, featuring spiral slides, lookout towers and monkey bars, keeps children entertained. Baseball diamonds and tennis courts allow both children and adults an area to practice their skills or play a pick-up game. In the winter, the park creates two ice rinks--a hockey and a casual skating rink--keeping the leisure skaters separate from those involved in a game.

    Kelley Park

    • Named after Rick Kelley, a former Apple Valley city planner and vital member of the community, Kelley Park is a small, 2.5-acre park. The park's biggest draw is its "splash pad," which is a concrete slab play area with large water sprinklers for kids to play in or cool off. If it's too chilly to run through the sprinklers, children can play on the park's playground equipment. Visitors can admire the topiary and sculptures, relax in the gazebo or spread out a blanket on the grass and sunbathe or enjoy a picnic.
