  1. Independence Park

    • Independence Park is located at the intersection of Mountain View Ave and Arthur Wint Dr. in Kingston. A statue of Bob Marley stands at the entrance. Located just west of the St.Thomas border, the park is one of Jamaica's most popular attractions. It is home to major sporting events, including football (soccer) and cycling. The Jamaica Football Federation calls Independence Park its home. Also located at the park are two indoor arenas that offer a combined capacity of 9,000 spectators. They are the largest such facilities among all the Caribbean islands. These arenas primarily house aquatic sports.

    Bob Marley Museum

    • Bob Marley, one of the most famous Jamaicans in history, introduced the unique music of Jamaica to the world in a way never accomplished before. The museum honoring this reggae master is the most popular attraction in Kingston. The museum is the site of Bob Marley's residence until his death. He lived and made music in this simple dwelling. Artifacts from his life are on site, as well as a statue of the music legend. His photographs, writings and other memorabilia help create a comprehensive portrait of this man to educate visitors and residents alike. The museum also screens movies about the singer's life.

    Devon House

    • The Devon House is a historic mansion from the 19th century built by the wealthy Jamaican miner George Stiebel---one of the first black millionaires in the Caribbean. The House contains restaurants, a bakery, shops and a popular ice creamery. The mansion lies in the heart of Kingston and provides a notable respite from the busy urban activity that surrounds it. Its quiet grounds offer big green lawns, plenty of trees and vegetation and a fascinating look at old Jamaican life. The Devon House has been a national monument in Jamaica since 1990. A renovation was begun in 2002 to restore and maintain the quality of the mansion.
