In 1985, Woodstock's Pizza opened in an old laundromat that had been renovated with the restaurant's signature cedar and wood booths. This pizzeria strives to create a fun, student-friendly environment with delicious, innovative pizzas. Its signature pizza has sauce baked within the crust and is piled high with as many topping layers as possible. Woodstock's has stayed true to it's original promise to use a secret sauce recipe, daily-made pizza dough and the freshest ingredients possible, according to its website. The wooden walls have names carved into them by visitors and locals, as well as those who have attended some of the numerous fundraisers hosted by the restaurant. This pizzeria was voted San Diego's best by the San Diego's 10 Best website and "Citybeat" magazine's reader's poll. And according to "The Daily Aztec," San Diego State University's student paper, Woodstock's Pizza is SDSU's favorite hangout and pizza place. The menu includes appetizers, salads, pizzas, desserts with an all-you-can-eat slice buffet during the lunch hour.
