Restaurants at Sea World in San Diego

SeaWorld San Diego is one of the country's premier family destinations, having played host to over 130 million guests since it opened in 1964. The 189-acre park is best known for its marine shows, with Shamu, the Killer Whale playing the role of super star each day. SeaWorld also features interactive attractions, aquariums loaded with colorful fish, thrill rides for every age group and beautiful landscaped gardens. The facility is also home to a number of quality restaurants.
  1. Shipwreck Reef Cafe

    • Shipwreck Reef Cafe is a casual counter-service restaurant located on the Shipwreck Island themed area. The playful decor centers around a wrecked ship hull, SOS banners and various flotsam and jetsam. Diners can watch sea turtles, birds and otters as you dine. The menu includes baby back ribs, a salmon fillet, beef sandwich, club sandwich, and several salads. The children's menu includes chicken tenders with fries, a hot dog and a turkey sandwich.

    Mama Stella's Pizza Kitchen

    • Mama Stella's Pizza kitchen is a counter-service restaurant with plenty of seating on its large patio. The menu features conventional items such as pizza and pasta as well as a few healthier choices such as eggplant Parmesan, chicken Caesar salad and seasonal fresh fruit. The kid's menu includes pasta with bread sticks, hot dogs and pizza.

    The Deli

    • Located in the Seaport Marketplace, The Deli serves up an assortment of sandwiches, wraps, salads and a bratwurst with sauerkraut platter. The children's menu includes chicken tenders, hot dog or a turkey sandwich. The Deli is the only restaurant at SeaWorld that is open for breakfast each day that does not require reservations.

    Dine with Shamu

    • Perhaps the most exciting place to eat in the park, Dine with Shamu is a small restaurant located within a few feet of the massive killer whale. Choose between a breakfast or lunch encounter and enjoy a menu that includes beef bourguignon, pecan rice pilaf, a vegetable medley and others. The children's menu includes macaroni and cheese, hot dogs and fresh fruit. Trainers are on hand to tell you about killer whales and to answer any questions you might have. Make sure you cover your camera though, as the entire restaurant is located within the splash zone of the massive whales. The experiences are not offered every day and they usually sell out, so call the reservation center at 619-226-3601 a few days in advance of your visit for availability and to book your table.

    Rocky Point Cafe Healthy Alternatives

    • If you are looking for healthier fare, you might be out of luck. Rocky Point Cafe Healthy Alternatives bills itself as a healthier choice, by doesn't really try very hard to live up to its name. The restaurant, which is perhaps the most hidden and least inspired architecturally, features many of the same choices as other SeaWorld restaurants, including turkey and veggie wraps, chef's salad and turkey sandwiches. Interestingly, the turkey sandwich is the only item offered for children, but they do sell plenty of cookies and ice cream.

    Calypso Bay Smokehouse

    • Calypso Bay Smoke House specializes in Southern Barbecue. The counter-service restaurant includes indoor and outdoor seating and is located close to Sesame Street Bay of Play. You can enjoy spare ribs, barbecue chicken, show roasted brisket or the usual sandwiches and wraps. The kid's menu includes chicken tenders with fries, hot dogs or a quarter chicken meal.
