      Find out if you are in the northern or southern hemisphere (above or below the equator).

      For those in the northern hemisphere, hold your watch in the hand of your hand and point the hour hand (little hand) toward the sun. Find the half way point on your watch between twelve o'clock and your hour hand. This is the north/south line. North will be further from the sun.

      For those in the southern hemisphere, hold your watch in the palm of your hand and point the hour hand (little hand) toward the sun. Find the halfway point on your watch between the twelve o'clock and you hour hand. This is the north/south line. North will be closest to the sun.
