How to Print Bird's-Eye View Maps

Bird's-eye view maps are available on websites that provide maps and driving directions. These sites include actual pictures of the area taken from satellite above the earth. If traveling to an unknown destination, print a bird's-eye view of the location to use during your trip. A pre-printed bird's-eye view map gives you an idea of how the area looks ahead of time and cuts down on the possibility of getting lost along the way.

Instructions

    • 1

Open a map and driving direction website of your choice on your Internet browser.

    • 2

Type the place you are leaving from in box "A" and the destination in box "B." A map of the directions will load in the middle of the screen.

    • 3

Look for the pinpoint of your destination and guide the mouse of your computer over it. Click the pinpoint. An options list will appear. Click on "Map" or "Satellite" depending upon the map website being used. A bird's-eye view of the area chosen loads.

    • 4

Press the zoom in or out function on the side of the map until you are satisfied with the bird's-eye view. Click the "Print" button above the map. Depending upon your printer, select "Fast Draft" and "Gray Scale" to conserve ink.
