How to Pack an Elastic Headband

Elastic headbands serve many functions and come in many styles. From the Jane Fonda-style sweatband to the delicate, lacy crochet bands on babies' bald heads, elastic headbands span generations. One trait they all have in common is the stretchy rubber inside. When you are packing for a trip and you want to take along your favorite headband, it is important to avoid snagging or damaging the rubber or breaking the elastic.

Instructions

    • 1

Fold the clothes you plan to pack. Include soft cotton clothing with no buttons or zippers, like t-shirts or sweat pants.

    • 2

Lay any items that could snag your elastic headband on the bottom of your suitcase.

    • 3

Cover the items with soft clothing.

    • 4

Place your elastic headbands in a small case to keep them all together.

    • 5

Lay the case containing the elastic headbands on top of the soft clothing.

    • 6

Pack another layer of soft, button- and zipper-free clothing on top of the headbands.
