Obtaining a Brazilian Passport in America

You must be a Brazilian citizen in order to legally obtain a Brazilian passport. However, you don't have to be within Brazil's borders to get one. Like many other countries, Brazil has an official embassy in Washington, D.C., as well as consulate offices across the country. Obtaining a passport will require finding and visiting the closest office.
