How to Cross the US-Canada Border With Your Green Card on Land

The green card or permanent residence permit is a document proving that the holder can legally reside and work in the United States. A green card and a valid passport from the traveler's country of origin must be provided to the immigration office for entry to the United States from Canada. Canada does not require visas from visitors who hold a green card.
