1st to 3rd Street Activities on the Boardwalk in Ocean City, Maryland

The Ocean City Boardwalk is the prominent destination for many heading to Ocean City. The boardwalk is home to a pair of amusement parks, restaurants and carnival-type games. It's also the main shopping district of the area. The boardwalk can see as many as 300,000 visitors on the weekends during the summer, according to the Ocean City tourism officials. Between 1st and 3rd streets alone, there's plenty for someone to do.
  1. Restaurants

    • After a long walk on the boardwalk, there's plenty of restaurants along this small stretch of Ocean City boardwalk. Some of the choices include establishments such as Bull on the Beach, Conner's Beach Café & Sail Loft Deck Bar, Dough Roller, Mug & Mallet, Paul Revere Buffet and Shenanigan's. Many restaurants operate primarily as bars, but many of the restaurants are geared toward families as well.

    Shopping

    • This stretch of boardwalk contains two jewelry stores. Many people enjoy window-shopping while strolling down the boardwalk on a nice summer day. Gold Standard and Park Place Jewelers are sure to provide plenty of eye candy for the average window shopper. Old Time Photo is located near 1st Street and is always an entertaining browse.     Art

    • Art is displayed between 1st and 3rd streets along the boardwalk in two locations. The art galleries Park Place Gallery and Ocean Gallery have various artwork on display and for sale as well. Many of the artists on display are locals who have drawn inspiration form the beach community.

    Sweet Goodies

    • Treat the children and the child inside you to a hot funnel cake or some Ice cream or a milk shake in almost any ice cream flavor at Dutch Funnel Cakes and Dumsel's respectively. The Candy Kitchen features lots of saltwater taffy and freshly made chocolates.
