What It Means

The vehicle is registered with the California DMV as part of a fleet serving disabled persons. This designation provides specific parking privileges:

• Exemption from parking meter fees at metered spaces
• Exemption from time limits on time-restricted parking (green/white/yellow curb zones)
• Access to disabled parking spaces (with valid DP placard/plate displayed)

Eligibility & Issuance

• Organizations transporting disabled clients (non-profits, healthcare, transit agencies, schools)
• Requires application (REG 256A) + proof of nonprofit/status + vehicle list

Important Limitations
