Obtain the official Spanish application form EX-1 and have it signed and stamped by the company or person that made the job offer.
Have three passport photographs made.
Make a photocopy of your passport. You will need to send this copy and your original passport in with your work visa application.
Ask your employer for a signed, stamped Spanish immigration form EX-5. This form is the formal offer of employment. The offer for employment must be for a full-time position that lasts longer than 10 months for you to be eligible for a work visa.
Ask the company for its financial identity document called a CIF document, the company's social security document, and company documents TC-1 and TC-2. These will need to be certified by the Tesoreria General de la Seguridad Social and the Agencia Estatal de Administración Tributaria to prove that the company is not behind in its taxes or social security obligations.
Provide official certification that the job has been advertised to Spanish or EU nationals and that the job was either not filled or is more suitable for a non-Spanish national.
Get certified degree certificates or transcripts if necessary for the job you have been offered.
Prepare a certified criminal background check from the police authorities in your country. Although not always required, it is often needed and not providing it could slow down your application.
Place all of the documentation, including both the copy of your passport and your original passport in a file or envelope to be ready to take to the Spanish consulate.
Make an appointment with the Spanish consulate in your country once you have all of the required paperwork gathered.
