How to Check My Air Ticket

Whether you purchased your airline ticket online or through a travel agent, it is a good idea to confirm that an airline ticket has been issued in your name. Checking ahead of time will put your mind at ease and allow more time for you concentrate on planning your trip.

      Locate your reservation number on the confirmation letter or ticket provided by the travel agent. Look for the letters or words "PNR" or "Record Locator" on the letter.

      See if there is a six-digit alphanumeric code on the letter or ticket, since reservation numbers contain letters and numbers.

      Access Google on your computer and type in the email address of the air carrier you are using for your travel, such as expedia.com.

      Choose the "My Itinerary" or "My Trip" link located at the top of the page and sign in using your email address and password. Choose "Create new account" if you have not accessed their website before. Click on "Find my itinerary" box on the top of the page. Open the itinerary. Ensure that your name, date of travel and other pertinent information on both the airline ticket and your confirmation letter corresponds and is accurate. Click "Print version" in the tool box located on the left side of the page. Print the itinerary and airline ticket.

      Contact your travel agent if you are unable to locate your reservation number or have trouble checking or printing your airline ticket.
