New York's Statue of Liberty stands in the midst of Liberty Island, a beacon to the world and a reminder to our nation of the freedom upon which our democracy was founded. A trip up the 354 steps will bring you to the top of the crown to overlook the entire island, a majestic view--to say the least. Open every day from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., it is best to arrive early, especially if you plan on making the trek to the top of Lady Liberty.

No location has more "bling" than Times Square. Located on West 43rd Street, you will be surrounded by JumboTrons, not to mention all the shops and restaurants along the way. New York City is the city that never sleeps, so you can technically visit anytime. However, if you want some help from the Times Square Alliance, the official group of the area, they are available daily from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m.
