Liveaboard Dive Vacations

Liveaboard dive vacations travel to diverse sites around the world, from Mexico and the Cayman Islands, with bottlenose dolphins and manta rays, to the Maldives and Papua New Guinea, with octopus and crocodile fish. Vacations generally include a variety of dives throughout the day to blue holes, shipwrecks, underwater caverns and more as well as the occasional late-night dive.

    • Aqua Cat Cruises offers liveaboard diving trips aboard a 102-foot catamaran to the Bahamas. A weeklong vacation includes up to 26 dives at dive sites in Nassau, the Exumas, Southwest Eleuthera and Half Moon Cay. At Nassau's 200-foot Lost Blue Hole, divers see lemon sharks, stingrays, banded jawfish, nurse sharks and black nose sharks. Guests may participate in shark feeding dives to get up close and personal with these magnificent creatures. In the Exumas, divers can explore the 90-foot Austin Smith wreck that rests 60-feet underwater and the Pillar Wall that extends 5,000-feet down to the ocean floor. Other activities are offered throughout the trip including snorkeling and kayaking and crewmembers on the boat are available to provide full scuba diving certification lessons for the inexperienced diver.     Dancer Fleet

    • The Dancer Fleet offers liveaboard diving vacations to Alor Islands, Fiji, North Sulawesi, Papua New Guinea and Raja Ampat. The Island Dancer II is a 10-person yacht that departs from Suva to bring guests on a seven-night diving tour of Fiji. En suite guest rooms are spacious with a queen-size bed, and complimentary toiletries are provided. The yacht travels to Gau Island where guests can dive to see barracudas, large grouper fish, reef sharks and turtles. Dive sites near the Island of Koro have a plethora of caves and swim-throughs, and night dives here reveal white tip sharks, flashlight fish and squid. Other dive sites include the infamous Shark Fin Point and the Makongi, Namena and Wakaya Islands, where divers see hammerhead sharks, eagle rays, nurse sharks and moray eels.     Explorer Ventures

    • Explorer Ventures offers liveaboard scuba-diving vacations to the Maldives, Bahamas, Galapagos, Saba, and the Turks and Caicos. The vessels range in size but each offers amenities such as restaurants, lounge areas with televisions, Jacuzzis and private rooms with air conditioning and en suite bath facilities. The Humboldt Explorer brings guests on an eight-day Galapagos diving vacation that departs from San Cristobal and travels to North Seymour, Darwin, Wolf and Isabela Islands, and Baltra, before returning to San Cristobal. Along the way, guests can take part in 18 dives to see hammerhead sharks, sea lions, Galapagos sharks, silly sharks, eagle rays, and more. Each trip includes some evening dives.
