Cheap Indoor Water Parks in Illinois

Speeding down a body slide, twisting and turning on a raft or tube slide and drifting along a lazy river are part of the fun of waterparks. What's great about these man-made aquatic playgrounds is that the fun doesn't have to be limited to just one season. If the waterpark is indoors, the temperature is constant and the fun is nonstop. Illinois has several indoor waterparks that allow visitors to enjoy summertime fun no matter what the weather is outside.
  1. Mayan Adventure Indoor Waterpark

    • Mayan Adventure Indoor Waterpark is in the Holiday Inn Chicago-Elmhurst Hotel. With 24,000 square feet of aquatic playground, the park is open year round. Riders can get on the Howling Monkey Body Slide or grab a tube and head down the Grand Mayan Falls Tube Slide. Both slides send riders to the plunge pool but for those seeking a more relaxed ride, the OogabooLazy River might be a better fit. Mayan adventure also has an activity pool and Parrot Island Interactive Play Station which has a 300-gallon dumping bucket. Guests can enjoy all the fun in a toasty and constant temperature of 82 degrees year round. The waterpark is open to the general public. Hotel guests can choose a stay-and-play package and should contact the hotel for details. As of October 2010, visitors can enjoy the park for $20 for half a day and $30 for a full day.
