When you conduct business in or have loved ones living in Uganda, you may have the need to transfer money to the country. While this task may seem overwhelming at first, it is simplified through the use of an online money transfer service. You can transfer money to Uganda with a credit card and about 10 minutes.
Sign in to your account with an online money transfer service by entering the user name and password you selected when you registered. Click Sign In.
Click the link to send money online. Enter the state from which you want to send money by clicking on the state pull-down menu and choosing your state. Enter Uganda on the country pull-down menu as the country to which you are sending the money. Check that you want to send money in minutes, and click Continue.
Provide the first and last name of the person in Uganda to whom you are sending money and the amount of money you are sending. Take note of the exchange rate between Uganda Shillings and U.S. Dollars and click Continue.
Enter a security question and answer to which only your recipient will know the answer. This can be something simple like the name of your pet or the name of the company for which you work. Because fraud is common when sending money to Uganda, such a security question and answer are necessary. Such a question is required when sending money to about 20 different countries. Write down the question and answer that you choose. Click Continue.
Input your credit card information and look at the amount of fees you will be charged for transferring the money to Uganda. As of June 2010, the range of fees associated with sending money to Uganda using an online money transfer service is $20 to $145. Click Submit. Money is typically transferred to Uganda in less than 30 minutes.
Give the security question and answer to your recipient along with the name of the online money transfer service you used. Your recipient can visit an affiliated service in Uganda, provide a representative with the answer to the security question and receive the money.
