How to Transfer RCI Points

RCI allows its members to take advantage of prepaid vacation getaways for specific amounts of time in hotels and resorts around the world in exchange for offering its members the ability to save money on these vacation getaway packages. Time is sold in increments either in "weeks" or "points" depending on the package. RCI lets its members trade RCI points as purchase towards resort stays, cruises, airlines, hotels and car rentals. Trading the points is simply a matter of informing the booking agent at the time you make your reservations that you desire to use your RCI points towards purchase. You can do this over the phone or via the RCI website.

Call the points portion of RCI at (877) 968-7476 and navigate the menu choices to speak to an RCI representative. You will need to provide your home telephone number on file and your member ID if you have it available. If you do not have your member ID with you, the representative will look you up by name.

    • 2

Inform the representative that you want to book a trip, rent a car or reserve a hotel and that would like to use your available RCI points to do so. The representative will transfer to you a personal booking agent.

    • 3

Give the booking agent information on the type of trip and or accommodations you seek. The booking agent will be able to tell you what hotels, car rental chains and more that are available to you for the trip you seek that will use your RCI points. The booking agent will also be able to alert you to any specials or other options that could benefit you during your trip.

    • 4

Finish booking your trip with the booking agent. The booking agent will tell you how many points you have available and help you decide how to maximize your points transfer for the best deal for that particular situation.

    • 5

Check your email account if you provided the booking agent with one. A confirmation email will be sent to you with your itinerary and the personal phone number of your booking agent in case you need any assistance prior to departure. If you do not have an established email account or prefer to have it mailed to you, the booking agent will mail you copies instead.
