Call RCI customer service at (800) 338-7777 and tell the representative that you would like to convert your RCI week into points.
Purchase Pure Points. RCI requires that you purchase a minimum number of points before the company will allow you to convert your RCI week into points. As of November 2010, the minimum number of points you are required to purchase is 12,000. You can purchase the Pure Points directly from the customer service representatives. Alternatively, you can purchase Pure points by attending a RCI timeshare presentation. The customer service representative can give you information about presentations available in your area and around the world.
Cede your RCI weeks to RCI points. Ceding means that you are passing up the right to use future weeks at your timeshare to RCI points. You are not giving up ownership of your timeshare. Tell the representative you want to cede your weeks.
Sign and notarize paperwork. RCI will send you paperwork to cede your existing timeshare week(s) and for the purchase of the Pure Points.
Return the paperwork to RCI. The paperwork will include information on where to send the documents.
Pay the yearly RCI membership fee for the RCI Points program. You can pay the yearly membership fee by calling RCI customer service at (800) 338-7777. Alternatively, you can pay the membership online by logging in to your RCI account. (See Resources.)
