From the United States:
* Metal goods, such as tools, weapons, cooking utensils, and hardware.
* Glassware and ceramics, including bottles, jars, and cups.
* Cotton and woolen fabrics.
* Flour and other processed foods.
* Tobacco, both leaf and manufactured.
* Candles, soap, and other household goods.
* Books and newspapers.
From Mexico:
* Silver and gold bullion, as well as silver and gold coins.
* Mules and horses.
* Raw wool and hides.
* Dried meat and other food items, such as chili peppers and beans.
* Tobacco products, including cigars and cigarettes.
* Furniture and other decorative items.
* Medicinal herbs and spices.
In addition to these main goods, many other items were also traded on the Santa Fe Trail, including textiles, jewelry, pottery, and art objects. The exchange of goods between the United States and Mexico helped to create a vibrant economic relationship between the two countries.
