Motorcycle riders can camp in the campgrounds in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park or choose to camp in a private campground at Kickstand Lodge Motorcycle Campground. Admission into the Great Smoky National Park is free, but guests must pay fees to camp overnight.
The National Park Service provides flush toilets, potable water and restrooms at its campgrounds in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. The Kickstand Lodge provides free compressed air for its guests, public cooking facilities, coin-operated laundry services, picnic tables and fire rings. Campers can rent tents and other equipment if they do not have their own or can't carry it along with them.
Great Smoky Mountain National Park has one campground that is open all year and eight campgrounds that close from November through mid-March. Weather permitting, this national park remains open all year, although some of the roads close for the winter. The Kickstand Lodge campground closes in November an reopens in mid-March.
