Is the Colorado river cold or warm?
The Colorado River has varying water temperatures depending on the location and time of year. In general, the upper reaches of the river, particularly in the Rocky Mountains, tend to have colder water temperatures due to high elevation and snowmelt. As the river flows downstream and into warmer regions, such as the Grand Canyon, the water temperatures rise. During the summer months, the lower sections of the Colorado River can reach temperatures in the 70s and 80s Fahrenheit (20s and 30s Celsius). However, in the winter, the water temperatures throughout the river can be quite cold, especially in the higher elevations.
