As of 2019, there are an estimated 1.3 million fair-trade certified coffee farmers in Ethiopia, which is estimated to be over half of the country's coffee farmers. As of 2018, there were approximately 17,000 fair trade certified tea farmers in Ethiopia. It is estimated that up to 25% of Ethiopian tea farmers are fair-trade certified. In 2019, there were 22 Fair-trade certified companies in Ethiopia.
