Biggin Hill School Of Flying

• The Biggin Hill School Of Flying was established in 1978 and has been offering private flying lessons for more than 30 years. A wide variety of Private Pilot's License courses are available, including an IMC Rating class that covers the basics of instrumental flying, and a Night Rating course for flying after dark, an important requirement for those wishing to obtain a commercial pilot's license.

Surrey And Kent Flying Club

• The Surrey And Kent Flying Club has been a presence in Biggin Hill since 1959 and prior to that operated out of Redhill and Croydon Aerodromes, making it one of England's oldest flying schools. Trial flights provide the student with a brief lesson on controlling the aircraft through ascents, descents and turns. It the student is interested in proceeding, this counts toward their flying hour requirements.

EFG Flying School

• Originally called the Experimental Flying Group, EFG Flying School has been offering private pilot lessons at Biggin Hill since 1947, making it the oldest flying school onsite. Courses range from five-hour introductory packages to more in-depth training with Piper Warrior and Cessna 152 aircraft. Gift vouchers are available for 30- or 60-minute lessons, providing a perfect introduction to flying.

Alouette Flying Club

• Alouette Flying Club is a non-profit, members-only organization with a diverse group of flyers of all skill levels. The club's low overhead translates to competitive rates. One-hour trial lessons are available and can be paid for conveniently and securely through PayPal. Students at Alouette can choose to fly a Cessna 172 or Piper Warrior. Membership includes clubhouse access and a series of hosted social events throughout the year.

British Disabled Flying Club

• The British Disabled Flying Association (BDFA) operates a flying school in Biggin Hill for disabled citizens. People with a range of disabilities, including amputated limbs, deafness and learning difficulties, can follow their dreams and take to the skies with flying lessons. They may not qualify for a private pilot's license, but can still take the controls during 30-minute trial flights.
