Aerobatic Company and Flight School provides typical private pilot training, as well as mountain flying, basic and intermediate aerobatics and aviation survival. The basic aerobatics course costs approximately $1475 (as of 2011) for four flights that teach students spins, rolls, loops, aerobatic sequences, dutch rolls, inverted spins and other aerobatic maneuvers. The Aerobatic Company flies Aeronca Super Decathlon aircraft based out of a Reno, Nevada airport.
Based at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport in Phoenix, Arizona, APS training offers numerous aerobatic training programs in its fleet of Extra 300L aircraft. An Upset Recovery Training program is APS' main offering, providing techniques for recovering from unusual flight conditions and extreme flight attitudes such as turbulence and spins. APS also offers full aerobatic training for air shows, competitions, showmanship or leisure. In addition, the school also offers formation flying courses or customer-specified, maneuver-based or scenario-based training.
WingsOver Aerobatics offers aerobatic rides and aerobatic training from its base in Leesburg, Florida, near Orlando. Customers may take an aerobatic ride in one of the company's aircraft for as little as $175 (as of 2011) that features maneuvers such as wingovers, steep turns, rolls, loops and others. Like APS, WingsOver also offers an unusual attitude and spin training course. An Aerobatics and Advanced Aerobatics course is also offered. The 10-hour aerobatics course features 10 blocks where a large number of aerobatic maneuvers are taught. The school uses two different types of planes: Pitts S-2B and Zlin 242L.
Fighter Combat International offers air combat training. Offering anywhere from a half-day course to a five-day "combat ready" courses, training focuses on offensive, defensive and neutral air combat tactics, what the company refers to as a true "top-gun fantasy." A five-day course costs $3995 (as of 2011). The company also offers aerobatic rides for durations of 20 or 45 minutes. The company uses Extra 300L aircraft and is based in Phoenix, Arizona.
