Waterparks in Greece

Travelers from all over the world have long flocked to Greece for its famous Mediterranean beaches. In more recent years, however, the country's water parks have been attracting family and thrill-seeking tourists. Most of the country enjoys a Mediterranean climate, with near-constant sunshine and dry heat between the months of April and November each year, making it conducive to the water park experience.
  1. Aqualand

    • This Corfu water park is spread out over 75,000 square meters. Aqualand features attractions for all members of the family, age 4 and up. Attractions include family rafting, a large Jacuzzi, a lazy river and a wave pool, the giant slide, the multi-slide, a near-90 degree direct fall slide, a tube-shaped slide, a slide that takes you through a black tube before splashing you into the pool below and a slide that takes you through several curving, rapid-like streams before dumping you into a large pool. The park also boasts numerous swimming pools, and a free-fall slide for the more adventurous. Aqualand offers 600 free parking spaces, spacious changing rooms and free sun beds and umbrellas for all guests.

    Limnoupolis

    • Limnoupolis is a large water park in Varipetro, which is situated approximately 8 kilometers outside the city of Chania on the island of Crete. The park is open from April until October each year for 19 hours every day. For more adventurous spirits, Limnoupolis has such thrilling attractions as the 55-meter Freefall and the 80-meter-long Black Hole. More subdued attractions include 130-meter-long slides and the Triple Twist, an attraction that features three slides twisted around each other. For younger members of the family, there is a giant children's pool. Limnoupolis also has its own lazy river.

    The Water Park

    • The Water Park is situated in Faliraki on the island of Rhodes, famous for its beaches. The park is home to a number of rides, water slides and wading pools. Thrill rides include several high-speed slides, including Turbo Slide, Kamikaze, Free Fall, Space Bowl Side and the Twister Slide. There are several attractions for kids, including some water slides reserved exclusively for them. The Water Park also has plenty of opportunities for relaxation in the water, including a lazy river, wave pool and a pool for swimming laps. The park is open between the months of May and October.
